Anita Spivey is a retired attorney with extensive experience in corporate finance, securities law, and environmental and energy matters. Before entering private practice, Anita served as in-house counsel for General Motors Corp., Union Texas Petroleum Corporation, and AlliedSignal Inc. She also practiced with the Washington, D.C. firm Sutherland, Asbill & Brennan LLP. Anita is a former board member of the Hyde & Watson Foundation and the E.J. Grassmann Trust, and a former trustee of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. 

Spivey earned an A.B. in political science from Brown University and a J.D. from Georgetown University.
