Biography

Scott Jackshaw is the managing editor of differences: A Journal of Feminist Cultural Studies. They received their Ph.D. in English from Brown University and their B.A. in English and Creative Writing from the University of Alberta. Their research interests include Black studies, feminist and queer theory, deconstruction, theology, performance studies, and contemporary poetry.

Dr. Jackshaw held a variety of positions at differences before becoming managing editor. In 2023, they designed and launched the journal's online forum for critical prose, and since 2024, they have co-organized the journal's Limits of Legibility colloquia. 

Their poetry collection Stigmata was recently published by Talonbooks.
