Ryan G. W. Grubbs ’10

Biography

Ryan Grubbs (he/him) is a dedicated higher education professional with a decade of experience working within large R1 research institutions. He currently serves as the Associate Director for Columbia University's Institute for the Study of Sexuality and Gender, the locus of queer and feminist scholarship and pedagogy on campus. In addition to his work at Columbia, Ryan has nearly 15 years of service in leadership and advisory roles for his undergraduate alma mater, Brown University, focusing on LGBTQIA+ alumni; diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging; and strengthening engagement of historically underrepresented alumni groups. He holds an AB in Gender and Sexuality Studies from Brown University, and an MA in Higher Education and Student Affairs from New York University.
