Marcia R. Ely ’80

Biography

Marcia Ely oversees public programming at the Center for Brooklyn History. Earlier she served as Executive Vice-President of the Brooklyn Historical Society and before that Assistant Director of the New York Transit Museum. She began her career as a television writer and producer where she received numerous awards at networks that include Nickelodeon, AMC, Showtime, TNT and The Movie Channel.

Ely earned an A.B. in English and religious studies from Brown University.
